Steel joists, girders, and column structures can be designed to span almost any distance and to bear significant roof loads. Pre-engineered metal buildings can be outfitted with nearly any type of wall cladding, including insulated metal panels, precast concrete panels, and block/masonry. A rack supported structure may be the best option for warehouses that require high storage heights. Rack supported structures are commonly associated with AS/RS facilities and maximize warehouse footprint space.

Steel and aluminum are the most common materials used to build warehouses. In comparison to other building types, they typically have fewer plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other issues. For these reasons, RKA Construction likes using these materials in our construction. However, we are aware that the exact  materials used in your project will also be determined by your building's unique requirements. A building that needs climate management, for instance, may require more insulation.
